MY YOGA JOURNEY

Having lived and raised in India most of my life, i was introduced to yoga in school at a very young age. We also practiced Yoga asanas in college, but the real understanding of the power and essence of yoga was realised by me thirteen years ago when knee injury changed the course of my life for the better. Looking for a holistic healing solution, I turned to yoga and quickly became an avid proponent and enthusiast.

I joined the 7 day course in Yoga at "The Yoga Institute"the oldest organised institution of Yoga in India, in 2003 and there was no looking back since then.
Yoga not only healed my physical ailments, but also put me in alignment with myself at emotional and spiritual levels. It taught me to live powerfully in the present moment.

I knew this was my calling and this is what i wanted to do for the rest of my life. After adopting the yogic way of life, I lived life at a different depth and experienced a deep level of joy and peace within. Right after the 7 day program,  I enrolled there for the 7 months teachers training program to share this beautiful experience on a wider platform.

After finishing my course, I started teaching at "The Yoga Institute" on voluntary basis and eventually one thing leading to other, I continued teaching and practicing there for more then 7 years. From a yoga games teacher, I became the coordinator of the 1 month yoga teachers training program.  Moving on to become the administrator at "AIM YOGA" and teaching there till 2014 where i successfully administered  a few 200 hours and 500 hour teachers training programs. Also taking up Yoga counselling and assisting people who wanted to take up teaching Yoga as a profession.
