YOGA THERAPY SESSION:     90 minutes

CLASS FORMAT:

The Yoga session is designed for the student after a deep analysis of the health condition taking into consideration the medical advices by the student’s doctor and his/her physical limitations. The student is accordingly advised the minimum number of sessions required for observation of a marked improvement in the health condition of the student. Props are used to make the practice easier, prevent injury, improve alignment, develop strength and awareness, and experience asanas more deeply.

WHAT IS TAUGHT:

  • Asana (dynamic and static postures)using props as and when required,
  • Breathing techniques (prananyama)
  • OM chanting
  • relaxation
  • reflection and concentration techniques
  • Yogic Kriyas (cleansing techniques)
  • Meditation.
  • Working on the concept of "Acceptance" and "Let Go" to enable one to accept one's present condition and thus taking the first step into improvement.
